Float Doesn’t Integrate with My Accounting Software

If you’ve come to this page it looks like you have an accounting package that we don’t (yet) integrate with.

At the moment, we only integrate with Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO) and FreeAgent.

Do you use something else?

If you do, please fill in the form below.

Here’s some further information that you might find useful:

Why Move Your Accounting to the Cloud?

There’s loads of reasons why you would want to consider moving your books to the cloud. There’s a huge time-saving benefit, you can access your numbers anywhere, and it’s arguably more secure than software you keep on your own server or computer.

Xero, QuickBooks Online & FreeAgent

Xero describe themselves as “beautiful accounting software” aimed at accounting professionals and SMBs all over the world. They provide a full accrual accounting system as well as a thriving Add On Marketplace where you can enhance your package by using tools like Float! You can get a free trial of Xero here.

QuickBooks Online is the cloud offering from accounting software powerhouse, Intuit (who have been in the business since  1983). They boast over 1m customers in the USA and are expanding rapidly in the rest of the world. As with Xero, they offer a full accrual accounting system and an App Store where you can bolt on other tools to customise a system that suits your needs. Get a free trial of QBO here.

FreeAgent (who have an office just down the road from us!) aim their accounting product at freelancers, small business owners and their accountants. They live by a mantra of ‘demystifying accounting’ for their customers which is evident in their neat user interface. Sign up for a free trial here.

How to Move Your Books to the Cloud?

If you are in the UK you can use a service called MoveMyBooks to convert your data to Xero or QBO for free. MoveMyBooks can convert data from UK versions of Sage Instant Accounting, Sage 50, QuickBooks Standard, Pro and Premier into the UK versions of Xero and QBO.

If you are not UK-based, it’s well worth talking to your accountant about how a conversion might work as there are currently a lot of good deals going about as cloud providers try to attract people away from desktop software.
