How to Help your Clients Navigate the Xero App Marketplace

Using Xero’s wide range of connected apps on the Xero app marketplace is a great way for you to customise your clients’ accounting solution, using tools that can help them streamline repetitive processes and save time. Even adding just one of the right apps can significantly enhance your clients’ profitability.

Xero offers apps that can help with a range of tasks such as cash flow forecasting, CRM, inventory management, time tracking, and many more. You can find more than 500 of them in the Xero app marketplace.

Where to see which apps are connected in Xero

You and your clients can see which apps are currently connected to their Xero accounts in Xero’s Settings > General Settings > Connected Apps page.

In Xero HQ, you can easily see which apps your clients are using via the Explorer tab. Here you can see the percentage of your clients using a specific app, the industries they’re most commonly used in, and which banks they are most commonly used with.

On the Xero app marketplace, you can search by business type for apps that other businesses in your client’s industry are using to get ahead. These include Retail, Hospitality, Franchises, Professional Services, Construction & Trades, Automotive, Accounting, Property & Realty, Manufacturing, Health, Agriculture, Education and Tourism.

Xero encourages its users to review the apps on its platform. As a result you can use other customers’ reviews to help you and your clients decide which apps to try.

Most of the apps available offer free trials as well as preferential pricing for accountants and bookkeepers. Definitely check out what sort of deals you can get! Most apps will either let clients pay for their software directly, or get better pricing if the billing goes through the accountancy or bookkeeping firm.
